Resort Versus City Occupancy Views
Why Phuket and Krabi resort dashboards need different length-of-stay and arrival-day emphasis than Bangkok city hotels.
City hotels live on weekday corporate rhythm. Resort hotels live on arrival-day patterns and minimum-stay fences. Copying a Bangkok occupancy layout onto a beach property usually hides the nights that matter most.
For resorts, arrival day and length of stay should sit near the top of the dashboard. A Friday that looks full may still leave Sunday soft if Saturday arrivals dominate packages. City charts rarely need that same arrival-day prominence.
Weather and flight schedules also bend resort pickup. A useful Thai resort occupancy view leaves space for notes on route changes and monsoon weeks beside the pace line—not as decoration, but as context for rate holds.
Cluster revenue managers who oversee both city and resort assets should keep separate board templates. Shared color schemes are fine; shared chart priority is not.
